CIROWA was formed in the year 1989 with the initiative taken by Honourable Sri P. C. Ahluwalia, Sri J. N. Sarkar, Sri R. P. Mehra, Sri Yash Batra, Sri G.S. Kappor, Sri Rajsaran & Sri J Sharan.
Objective of the association -
- To keep dialogue with CIL & its subsidiaries company
- To offer our services to CIL if they need.
- To organize Four General Body Meeting & Six executive body meeting in a Year.
- Organize get together and picnics.
- Help & guide members of contributory post retired Medicare scheme of CIL and subsidiaries particularly WCL.
- Celebrate Founder day in memory of founders members on 14th November of this association.
- Help the members and their families particularly widows & very old retired officers.
- Widen in the scope of services by increasing the member ship.
- Provide financial assistance to needy members.
- Peruse for increasing scope of pension with Central Govt. CIL & CMPF commissioner.
CIROWA has about 350 members who have settled at Nagpur after super-anuation. Each member has been issued with identity cards which have proved to be quite useful.
CIROWA has conducted National seminar on Future of Coal - Integrated Approach on 21-04-2007. It is proposed to conduct such events in future also.
Financial accounts of the association is audited annually by reputed chartered accountants and returns are submitted with Income tax department regularly.
CIROWA is registered under charity commissioner (F-10/77 Nagpur) and also under Association Registration rule no 1860 (MH/552/92 Nagpur)
Association offers life members ship to retired officers on payment of Rs.3000/- Plus Rs.100/- as registration charges.
